Secure Energy Supplies
Jersey Electricity recognises the importance of providing a
reliable, safe and secure power supply. Electricity is important to
the majority of islanders because it's their sole energy fuel
source. It's also vital for the Island's economy that businesses
are able to depend on a reliable power supply.
The Company is proud of its supply reliability record, it is
currently seven times more reliable than the UK`s and twice as
reliable as Guernsey`s. Our customers lost power for an average of
10 minutes last year compared with the latest figures of 76 minutes
in the UK, 38 minutes in the Isle of Man and 23 minutes in
Guernsey, please see chart below.
Internationally, reliability is measured by the average number of
customer minutes lost each year.
