Our shares
Jersey Electricity has an issued Ordinary Share capital of 30,640,000 shares of £0.05 each split into 19,000,000 Ordinary Shares, owned by the States of Jersey and which are unlisted and 11,640,000 'A' Ordinary Shares that are listed on the London Stock Exchange's main market.
The 'A' Ordinary Shares entitle the holder to one vote for every 100 shares held. The Ordinary Shares carry voting rights of one vote for every 20 shares held.
Jersey Electricity also has two classes of Preference Shares. There are 100,000 issued, 5% Cumulative participating Preference Shares with par value of £1, which entitles the holder to one vote for every five shares held.
In addition, there are 134,760, 3.5% Cumulative non-participating Preference Shares with par value of £1, which entitle the holder to one vote for every 10 shares held.
