Jersey Electricity recognises the importance of providing a
reliable, safe and secure power supply. Electricity is important to
the majority of islanders because it's their sole energy fuel
source. It's also vital for the Island's economy that businesses
are able to depend on a reliable power supply
Historical Position
Internationally, reliability is measured by the average number of
customer minutes lost each year.
The graph below shows the company's record for customer minutes
lost v the UK average.

Future Position
Achieving high levels of reliability requires major investment
in an aging infrastructure. Over the last ten years Jersey
Electricity has invested more than £100m. The company is planning
to invest nearly £150m over the next ten years.
