Use Less - Energy Efficiency
Jersey Electricity has a long track
record for promoting energy efficiency and conservation
initiatives. Last year the company donated £500,000 to the States
of Jersey Energy Efficiency Service to assist vulnerable Islanders
insulate their homes. The scheme provides free loft/cavity wall
'draught proofing' insulation, energy saving light bulbs and
control systems which help to reduce energy bills.
Customer Advice Service
Jersey Electricity provides a
widely used free advice service delivered by trained advisors on
the best use and conservation of energy. This service is available
by calling 505460 or e-mailing jec@jec.co.uk Much advice
can be provided over the phone, more complex queries may require a
Customer Advisor to do a free home visit.
Self Help
Regardless of whether a customer
uses electricity or other fuels, our advisors have found that
energy usage can be reduced between 10% and 20% by taking a number
of steps to reduce wastage.
