Foreshore is the Channel Islands’ largest internet hosting company and the only one that has been built to international standards. Foreshore is independent of any single cable carrier, telecoms operator or internet service provider and spans two locations either side of St Helier for maximum resilience to systems failure.

We provide Channel Island-based and international organisations a scalable, secure, high-performance and non-stop platform for the deployment and 24 x 365 management and monitoring of their business-critical servers and operations.

We are one of the most state-of-the-art datacentres in the offshore world and are so certain of our network infrastructure that we provide our customers with 100% Service Level Agreements for connectivity.  The datacentre conforms to international Internet Data Centre (IDC) standards in the following areas:

• Security and access control 
• Power resilience to failure
• Telecommunications resilience to failure
• Datacentre resilience to failure (using the secondary site) 
• Fire suppression (FM200 gas drenching system) 
• Air conditioning 
• 24 x 365 manned operations 
• Multiple upstream Internet Service Proveiders (ISPs) 
• Separate equipment build room, secure storage and backbone infrastructure and test laboratory

We also provide free network speed access to other companies hosted within the datacentre; because this communication does not need to travel across the internet it stays within our secure environment. Customers can therefore create a local network within our datacentre for related services such as payment solution providers, company administrators, merchants and banking.  All these essential back office functions operate at local area network speed benefiting the client with prompt service.

We understand that for our international clients in particular, having a failsafe environment for their technology is only one element which can lead to the decision to host offshore. Other elements include ensuring you have the correct professional advice regarding tax and company structures. While we do not offer services in this arena we do have working relationships with the major accountancy practices and all of the Jersey-based legal practices who specialise in this area. This ensures that we are in a position to put you in contact with an appropriate advisor for your business type should you require this.
