Electricity Supply Enquiry Process

New Supply or additional load applications are dealt with by Roger May, our New Supplies Engineer.  His direct contact number for any enquiries is 505444.  Should Roger be unavailable, all calls will automatically be transferred to our Customer Care Advisers in the Customer Care Phone Centre.  Details of your call will be passed to him.

What is required on an ’ESE’ application?

When an "ESE" application is submitted for a new supply, the following information is required:

• A site location plan
• A ground floor drawing
• All the proposed electrical load details (which need to be given in kW)

Where do I send the ’ESE"?

The ’ESE’ application forms can be delivered in the following ways:

• By hand to the Customer Care Reception at Jersey Electricity, The Powerhouse, Queens Road.
• By hand at reception in La Collette engineering block
• Post to Jersey Electricity, The Powerhouse, PO Box 45, Queens Road, St Helier, JE4 8NY.
• Fax to 505565
• By email
• Given at an appointment made with Roger May.

Note: Please ensure that all correspondence is clearly marked "For the attention of Roger May."

What happens next?

On receipt of the application, a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to the applicant. The timescale for processing an application will be in accordance with the Company standards of service (see below). The current status of the application can be obtained by contacting Roger at any point of the process.

Company Standards

Upon receipt of an "ESE" form, and necessary drawings, we will send a written quote within:

• 15 working days, for the cost of providing normal supply / altering existing supply, or 
  
• 25 working days, if significant network reinforcement is required
