Go electric from as little as £45 a month

Installing a new or replacement heating system can typically cost from £5,000 for an electric boiler, or £10,000 for an air source heat pump.

We offer all customers that are switching from oil or gas the option to spread the cost over 10 years, with no fees or interest charges.

A new low-carbon, high-efficiency heating system could be yours for less than £45 per month.

What finance options are available?

You have two finance options:

  1. The JE payment scheme, if JE / JEBS carry out your installation (terms and conditions apply)
  2. Trade finance, if you use a trade installer

JE / JEBS carry out your installation

If Jersey Electricity's JEBS installers carry out your installation, you can spread the cost with our 10-year interest-free payment option.

The JE payment scheme allows you to pay for your new heating system at 0% interest over 10 years up to £15,000 for an electric boiler or air source heat pump.

How to apply

To apply, simply fill out the form to request a quote, and our heating surveyors will include the payment option within your quotation pack.

You use a trade installer

If you use your own contractor, we can provide interest-free loans through a local finance company.

You can borrow up to £6,000 interest-free over five years subject to status, terms and conditions.

How to apply

You first need to obtain a quotation for the work needed to switch to electric heating. Your preferred installer will be able to do this for you. Please take the opportunity to check references and membership of local trade bodies.

When you have your quote, complete the Trade Finance form, below.

Bring it along with your quotation and proof of identity, such as your passport or driving licence, to our Customer Care Team at The Powerhouse.

We will send your application to the finance company to process. Once approved, we will notify you and you will need to return to our Customer Care Centre at The Powerhouse to sign the loan agreement. You can now get your installation started.

We are unable to add to the loan amount once signed, so please make sure everything you need is included.

We will also require the final invoice from your installer, matching your loan amount. We will then pay you the loan amount by bank transfer and you can then pay your installer. This will normally be paid within 10 working days of your inspection visit.

Please note Jersey Electricity cannot accept any liability for any installations carried out by your own preferred contractors. Terms and conditions apply.

Your installation

If you have used your own contractor, please contact us on 01534 505460 and a member of our Customer Care Team will arrange to visit and view your system. They will also explain tariffs if this has not already been done and make sure you understand how to use your new electric heating system.
