Jersey Electricity Environment Day Volunteers turned their attention from beach cleaning to Hottentot Fig clearing at Noirmont Point headland at the weekend. This invasive species is smothering other plants and has no natural predators in Jersey. The group led by JE's Health, Safety and Environment Engineers, included two Company Directors and some friends and family. This Environmental Day follows two successful Beach Cleaning Days at Grouville Bay, where JE's Normandie 3 French supply cable was landed last June, and Havre des Pas, which is close to La Collette Power Station.
