Jersey Energy celebrated its 25th anniversary in style on Saturday by being named Business of the Year With Under 10 Employees at the Jersey Construction Council’s Annual Awards. Part of the JE Group of companies, Jersey Energy’s experienced team has some of the highest qualifications in the Channel Islands and operates at the cutting edge of environmental building design and energy related services.
Jersey Energy collaborates with planners, architects, builders and developers in the design process that balances environmental and commercial considerations to deliver high performance buildings, both in the domestic and commercial market, that not only help the future of the construction industry but also leave a positive legacy for the community by creating a more sustainable Island.
Recent projects with high environmental credentials include: the Channel Islands Co-operative Society’s Charing Cross Locale, Health and Social Services’ Liberté House, Granville School and St Martin Housing Association.
As well as high-quality 3D modelling (as used on our own new St Helier West Primary substation), Jersey Energy has become the first building services consultancy in the Channel Islands to use the latest Building Information Modelling (BIM) software AutoDesk Revit.
Adam Budworth, Managing Director of award sponsors Grant Thornton, presented the award to Jersey Energy Associate Directors Stuart Gray and Graeme Chinery (pictured centre) at the glittering ceremony at the Royal Showground. Director Shaun Bisson said afterwards: ‘This is a great achievement for our small team and recognises not only technical expertise and environmental credentials but also our customer focus and service. I am delighted and very proud for the whole team.’
