Martin's background and experience
Before joining the Board as Finance Director in May 2002, Martin spent nine years at Scottish Power in a variety of senior finance roles. He had previously worked for nine years with Stakis plc (now part of the Hilton Hotels Group).
As well as his role on the Board of Jersey Electricity, Martin is Chairman of Jersey Deep Freeze Limited and a Director of the Channel Islands Electricity Grid Limited.
Outside of Jersey Electricity
Martin is also a non-Executive Director, and Audit Chair, of Jersey Post International Ltd.
Until 2011, Martin was a member of the Jersey Public Accounts Committee. He is a current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland having qualified in 1984.
