Trade 0% and low interest finance
Jersey Electricity can help your customer spread the cost of a new heating system with our low cost Electric Heating Finance scheme for trade installations.
We have teamed up with a local finance company to provide two options for spreading the cost of a heating system. Credit is available to all domestic customers that are moving from fossil fuel heating onto electricity. Credit is subject to status, terms and conditions apply.
Option 1 - Interest free credit
The interest free credit scheme provides up to five years' interest free credit up to a maximum loan of £6,000.
Option 2 - Low Interest Credit
Alternatively, you can borrow up to a maximum of £25,000 for up to five years on our low interest credit scheme.
Interest free and low interest loans cannot be combined and both are for the sole purpose of installing a new electric heating system or replacing an existing gas or oil-fired system with electric.
How it works
Provide your quotation to your customer. Your customer will need to complete the loan application attached to the trade finance leaflet below. Your customer will need to bring both the quotation and application, along with proof of identity, such as a passport or driving licence, to our Customer Care Team at The Powerhouse (8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday). Your customer’s monthly repayments will be calculated and any questions answered.
Before you start work, check that your customer’s loan has been approved and they have signed their loan agreement.
When your installation has been completed your customer should contact us on 505460 to arrange for a Customer Care Adviser to inspect the installation. They will also make sure your customer understands how to use their new electric heating system.
Once your work is complete send the invoice to your customer. Your customer must send this invoice on to us and we will then transfer the funds to your customer’s bank account. This will normally be within 10 working days of the inspection visit.
There are over 10,000 homes on our Comfort Heat tariff specifically designed for storage heating, plus many thousands more on Economy 7. So what do you recommend when a customer asks about upgrading their old appliances?
