Easy ways to pay

Monthly Direct Debit (instalments)

  • Gives you peace of mind because you spread the cost of your electricity over 12 equal monthly payments
  • This 'evens out' the cost of your increased consumption in winter
  • You need never worry about paying your electricity bill on demand again
  • We agree a monthly amount to cover your annual consumption based on last year's, your current balance, your tariff and any discount
  • We draw this amount directly from you bank account each month on a day to suit you
  • You still receive quarterly statements
  • You receive £3 discount per quarterly bill if you switch to paperless electronic bills
  • You can now sign up for Monthly Direct Debit and/or ebills with one simple phone call on 505460
  • Alternatively, download and complete the Direct Debit form

Variable Direct Debit (in full)

  • Means you don't have to remember to go and pay your bill
  • You still receive quarterly statements
  • We draw this amount directly from your bank account, by prior agreement, approximately 18 days later, after you have received and checked your statement
  • You receive £3 discount per quarterly bill if you switch to paperless electronic bills
  • You can now sign up for Variable Direct Debit and/or ebills with one simple phone call on 505460
  • Alternatively, download and complete the Direct Debit form

Pay online

  • You will need your Customer Number and Invoice Number from your bill

If you use your bank's Internet Banking service, you can pay your bill with the following details:

i) Account number 0000 0000
ii) Sort Code 62-26-99
iii) Quote your Customer Number and Premise Number from the top right of your bill

Pay As You Go Meter

  • We install a special meter in your home free of charge and provide you with a 'chargeable' electronic key to top up
  • You can top up your key at The Powerhouse and many retail outlets around the Island
  • You pay as you use electricity
  • Our normal tariffs apply

At Post Offices

  • By cash, cheque or debit card
  • Make cheques payable to Jersey Post Limited
  • Take your bill, or a payment slip on the bottom of the bill with you
  • Avoid queues by using the Post 'N' Pay machine in the lobby of the Broad Street Post Office.

At The Powerhouse

  • Our self service kiosks accept cash and debit cards.
  • Please note you will need your bill or your name and Customer Number. These self service kiosks do not give change.
  • Our Customer Care Centre accepts cheques payable to Jersey Electricity plc. Cheques can also be deposited in the box provided; please remember to attach your payment slip and write a contact telephone number on the back of the cheque.

  • Cheques or Postal Orders payable to Jersey Electricity plc
  • Return with payment slip from your bill
  • Write your Customer Number of the back of your cheque
