About the Academy

The Green Skills Academy, a partnership between Jersey Electricity and Highlands College, was created to plug the skills gap by training and developing home grown apprentices in low carbon industries. Delivered in partnership with the trade industry, it’s a fast paced course combining workshop and classroom studies with local trade businesses offering apprentices real-world experience installing low carbon heating technologies. Major investment in Highlands College’s workshop will offer apprentices a home to develop skills to deliver the Island’s energy transition.
