About us Our Vision 100 Projects That Matter Project Listing Introducing 100 Projects That Matter

To mark our centenary year, we've launched a community impact programme reflecting our commitment to making a tangible and lasting difference in the community.

100 Projects That Matter is our investment in the people and ideas that will shape a sustainable and vibrant future for Jersey. Whether through sponsorships for community events, health and wellbeing initiatives, or funding for sustainability projects, the programme will have a broad impact across Jersey, making a measurable difference to Islanders’ lives.

JE’s CEO Chris Ambler, said: “100 Projects That Matter underscores JE’s promise to actively support our community, particularly in the areas of education, health, the environment and diversity, equity and inclusion - pillars that reflect JE’s purpose and vision for a sustainable, vibrant Jersey.

“Jersey’s community groups already punch well above their weight for their positive contributions to our society, and this community impact programme will provide an extra boost ensuring that as the Island’s major energy partner, we play an active role in bringing about positive change.

“As part of JE’s 100th anniversary, we want to put our community front and centre and show our support for the people, charities, schools and community groups that make life in Jersey better for so many and that preserve our environment for the future.”

100 Projects That Matter has already supported initiatives for Grand Vaux School and the Samaritans. JE provided support for pupils from Grand Vaux School to enjoy an educational activity camp over the summer holidays, while JE installed a new heating system for the Samaritans property, so its volunteers can provide their essential services in warmth and comfort with low energy costs for the charity.

JE will review, assess and approve applications and determine the support which will be made available under the scheme. This could be as simple as a raffle donation to larger financial grants, and JE will also, where appropriate, provide access to JE’s employees’ skills and resources where the Company can make a broader contribution.

Chris Ambler added, “100 Projects That Matter is more than just a funding programme, it’s an investment in and a commitment to our community’s future. If you are part of an organisation that creates positive change for Jersey, we invite you to apply. Whether you’re a not-for-profit organisation, charity, community group or school working to improve education, health and well-being or the environment, then we would love to hear about your community ambitions and plans.”
