Important information for our Pay As You Go customers

Pay As You Go customers will be unable to top up their meters either online via Topup.je or in your usual local retailer between the hours of 9am and 3.30pm Sunday 23 November due to systems maintenance. 

We apologise for the inconvenience and urge customers to ensure they have sufficient credit on their meters to cover this period.

If your credit drops below £1 you have the option to activate Emergency Credit. The meter will say: Low Credit . . . EC Offer. Press button ‘A’ to activate.

Mark's background and experience

Mark joined Jersey Electricity in February 2017. He has 29 years of utility sector experience in both the UK and the Middle East.

Mark was formerly Director of Electricity Networks for the Regulation and Supervision Bureau (RSB) in Abu Dhabi. Before that he spent 24 years with United Utilities, performing a range of senior roles including:

  • Managing Director of United Utilities Middle East
  • Director of Business Change
  • Electricity Operations Director

Outside of Jersey Electricity

Mark is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and has a BSc (Hons) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Manchester University and an MBA.

He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
