Our rapid response teams have been busy this morning continuing to review the 130 incidents affecting the electricity network as a result of Storm Ciarán. We truly understand how important it is for those Islanders without power to have information that can help you make contingency plans.

Today we are prioritising work to support vulnerable customers, visiting powerlines that we have yet to assess, and restoring supplies to lines that power the highest number of customers.

Our front-line teams are operating as quickly and safely as possible, and we are grateful for their ongoing efforts as they work towards restoring power for those affected and ensuring damaged overhead lines are safe.

Given the severity of Storm Ciarán, our rapid response teams are adapting their plans in real-time to the conditions and emergencies they encounter on the ground.

We’d like to reassure Islanders that we are constantly reviewing the situation and exploring what options are available as we do our best to support customers and manage this extreme situation.

We encourage you to stay in touch with our customer service team and follow our social media channels for the latest information. We’d also like to remind people to put safety first by staying away from any damaged powerlines.

Your understanding and patience during this challenging time are greatly appreciated.
