Yesterday, our teams responded to over 80 faults caused by Storm Goretti, which interrupted supplies to around 400 customers. From before dawn until late into the evening, crews worked hard to restore power, leaving just a small number of customers without supply overnight.

Repairs were carried out across the network, and in some cases, mobile generators were deployed to keep homes connected. For those we couldn’t reconnect yesterday, hotel accommodation was offered to ensure everyone was safe and comfortable.

Today, our teams are back out in the field, focused on restoring supply to the remaining customers and those currently supported by generators.

Progress today:

  • 37 customers restored since yesterday
  • 3 customers remain without power, and we expect all customers to be restored by the end of today

We have 30 engineers working across the Island today, supported by our office teams, continuing to make the network safe and restore supplies. While restoring power is our immediate priority, making good and recovery work will continue over the next few weeks as we repair damaged infrastructure and clear debris left by the storm.

Safety reminder:

  • Please stay clear of any damaged power infrastructure
  • Report hazards immediately on 01534 505050

Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and support as we work to restore electricity as quickly and safely as possible.
