Progress today:
- We’ve restored power to 150 homes since the last update
- Circa 40 customers remain without power across several incidents
Our initial response focused on assessing the damage and estimating the resources and time required for repairs. Approximately 43 engineers are currently in the field, supported by teams in our offices, working to restore power.
Where possible, minor repairs have been carried out immediately to reconnect customers, while more complex faults require detailed assessments to determine the materials and work needed. Typical tasks include clearing trees that have come into contact with overhead lines and repairing damaged infrastructure.
One of the main challenges our crews have faced today is gaining access to affected areas and safely removing fallen trees, which is essential before repairs can begin. To speed up restoration where possible, we have deployed mobile generators to provide temporary power.
Safety reminder:
• Please stay clear of any damaged power infrastructure

Next update: Saturday at 11am
Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we work to restore supplies as quickly and safely as possible.
