Work on jointing the Normandie 3 subsea cable to the Jersey land cable starts today in the transition bay at Long Beach car park. The operation by Prysmian’s specialist engineers is expected to take about two weeks.

The installation of the Jersey land power cable has been completed and the six sections of the 7km length have been jointed although some further testing is required. The next stage is to complete the terminations at South Hill Switching Station where Normandie 3 joins our network.
