With our community-giving initiative, 100 Projects That Matter, we have the opportunity to work with local charities, schools and community groups to bring projects that will make a real difference for Islanders to life.
Dementia Jersey, a charity dedicated to helping Islanders living with dementia and their families, is a recent example. Dementia Jersey approached us with a powerful idea: to create a series of 12 informative videos designed specifically for carers of dementia patients. These videos answer frequently asked questions, offer practical advice, and provide emotional support, ensuring carers feel valued and equipped to care for their loved ones. Hosted on the charity’s YouTube channel, the videos are available anytime, making vital information more accessible to those who need it most.
This project strongly aligns with our commitment to health and education, and our 100 Projects That Matter panel was eager to help bring it to life. We believe these resources will have a lasting impact, offering support and reassurance to carers across the Island.
Have a project you’d like to put forward?
We’re looking for initiatives that offer Island-wide reach, long-term benefits, and align with our core values, particularly in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, health, education, and the environment. Support can come in many forms, including financial donations, volunteer help, event support, or expert advice.
Applications are open all year, with reviews held quarterly. If you’re working on a project that could benefit from our support, we’d love to hear from you. Our application deadlines are 31 March, 30 June, 30 September, and 23 November.
Together, we can make a difference, one project at a time.
