Installed in a well-insulated property, air source heat pumps typically produce up to three times the heat that would be gained from the units of electricity used to power them. So for every £1 you spend on running costs, you'll benefit from £3 worth of heat to warm your home and heat your hot water. You can even combine a heat pump with your oil bolier acting as back-up if you opt for a hybrid heat pump.
