The Energy Blog Loving Nature with the National Trust for Jersey

Jersey Electricity is delighted to be sponsoring this weekend’s National Trust for Jersey’s #LoveNature Festival, celebrating all things ‘green’ in and around St Ouen’s Bay. You can enjoy 'behind the scenes' walks with the Trust’s Lands team, paint orchid fields al fresco, go on a bat walk at sunset, enjoy bird tours and watch bird ringers, explore the orchid fields, forage, pond dip, explore wild places, undertake a beach clean, go on a rock pool ramble for grown ups, create environmental art and learn everything there is to know about bees, bats and bugs

Jersey Electricity has been a highly committed, long-term partner and supporter of the Trust for many years, gifting a Hilux pickup for its rangers in its 75th anniversary year, undertaking substantial work for the ‘Save Plémont’ Campaign in 2014, supporting the Coastline Campaign and the Elm and Wildlife Hedge Projects that marked the Trust's 80th anniversary in 2016. So the Company is very pleased to be involved in the second #LoveNature Festival.

JE CEO Chris Ambler said: ‘The work the Trust does – and with such a small team – to preserve Jersey’s natural environment is immense. I know I speak for everyone at Jersey Electricity and so many of our customers when I say how pleased we are to have been able to support the Trust in making such a meaningful, positive impact with so many of initiatives over the years.  As the Island’s leading supplier of clean energy, these initiatives are totally compatible with our own beliefs around environmental sustainability.

‘The #LoveNature Festival is a true celebration of everything the Trust stands for and we all want to see protected. This event encourages all of us to take a little time out to appreciate the good things this Island offers naturally. We look forward to continuing to be involved and support the Trust’s work for years to come.’
